MY STORY

๐Ÿ“ I was born and raised in Marietta, GA to an Indian dad ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ and a Hong Konger mom ๐Ÿ‡ญ๐Ÿ‡ฐ. I grew up playing the saxophone in my high school marching band and drawing anime characters in my sketchbook.

๐ŸŽ“ I attended the University of Georgia to study cultural anthropology. As a kid, I struggled to solidify my cultural identity as the daughter of Asian immigrants from completely different cultures, and this fueled my curiosity to learn about other peopleโ€™s second-generation cultural experiences. I conducted multiple ethnographies to study social and cultural identity formation which became the foundation for my qualitative research work.

๐Ÿ’ก After acknowledging my love for understanding people and their behaviors, as well as my interest in the tech world, I began to pursue a career in UX Research. I shine brightest in projects that challenge my understanding of what I know and how I generally conduct research, forcing me to be curious and find new solutions for roadblocks. Iโ€™m still learning how humans interact with different technologies, and I hope to grow my skills in development and design to strengthen my perspective on UX as a whole.

โค๏ธ When Iโ€™m not working, you can find me dancing with the Atlanta Chinese Dance Company, trying (poorly) to beat the boss in my JRPG or indie video games, traveling across the globe to try new foods, or vibing out at music festivals with my friends!
